March 2012 – Opening Day April 16th!

Course And Club House News

We have a social committee this year and they are working hard to plan social events for the year, something we haven’t had much of in the past. Their first planned event is described below. The participation and feedback from the April 8th event will help them plan future social events. If you have ideas or want to help out contact Dudley Sook at 641-414-0283

This year we are starting the season off with a “Par Tee” on Friday April 13th at 7:00 PM. It will feature local entertainers, Music, fun and socializing with old friends and making new ones. Appetizers and adult beverages will be served. There will be no charge for this event so come out and enjoy yourself and support your club.

The next day, April 14th is cleanup day. We will be cleaning out the cart sheds, picking up limbs and other debris from the course and generally getting the course ready for the season. Please volunteer a few hours of your time to help Jerry and Mary Ann and the club get ready for another season. Refreshments will be served to all volunteers.

If you haven’t paid your first half dues please take a moment to send them in. Until golf season gets under way it is our only source of revenue. Last year we paid $4000 against the principle and reduced the balance to $56000. We want to continue to reduce our debt this year. We did not raise dues but prices for food and beverages will increase this year.

In the future the newsletter will be posted on our website, osceolacountryclub.com, and we will only mail newsletters to people without computers. It will save us over $100 for each newsletter & we can communicate more often. You can still get a printed copy at the Club.
